Time Will Continue To Tick By
"Lost yesterday, somewhere between sunrise and sunset, two golden hours, each set with 60 diamond minutes. No reward is offered, for they are gone forever." Horace Mann
Time is one of the few things we cannot stop. We can stop all the clocks in our home, we can refuse to wear a watch, we can throw out all the calendars, however, time will continue to tick by.
Time is precious, yet too often we do not use it to our advantage. Nor do we appreciate it. Time cannot be captured and kept until we need it. It is today, this moment. Yesterday is long gone, and there are no guarantees we will see tomorrow. Today is what we have and how we use it determines our appreciation of time.
T...truthful about how you are using your time. I...initiative - take it, rather than procrastinate. M...manage your time, do not waste it. E...efficient and effective use of your time will allow you to achieve more than you can imagine.

Eight Gifts That Don't Cost a Cent
1. THE GIFT OF LISTENING... But, you must REALLY listen. No interrupting, no daydreaming, no planning your response. Just listen.
2. THE GIFT OF AFFECTION... Be generous with appropriate hugs, kisses, pats on the back and handholds. Let these small actions demonstrate the love you have for family and friends.
3. THE GIFT OF LAUGHTER... Clip cartoons. Share articles and funny stories. Your gift will say, "I love to laugh with you."
4. THE GIFT OF A WRITTEN NOTE... It can be a simple "Thanks for the help" note or a full sonnet. A brief, handwritten note may be remembered for a lifetime, and may even change a life.
5. THE GIFT OF A COMPLIMENT... A simple and sincere, "You look great in red," "You did a super job", or "That was a wonderful meal" can make someone's day.
6. THE GIFT OF A FAVOR... Every day, go out of your way to do something kind.
7. THE GIFT OF SOLITUDE... There are times when we want nothing better than to be left alone. Be sensitive to those times and give the gift of solitude to others.
8. THE GIFT OF A CHEERFUL DISPOSITION
The easiest way to feel good is to extend a kind word to someone, really it's not that hard, to say, "Hello" or "Thank You".
We give and receive gifts each and every day. Gifts do not have to be monetary in value, the thoughts above brings out this point. How many gifts can you give this week?

Life is a Do-It-Yourself Project
An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family.
He would miss the paycheck, but he wanted to retire. They could get by. The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.
When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to the carpenter. "This is your house," he said, "my gift to you."
What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.
So it is with us. If we build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job our best effort. Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized that we would have done it differently.
Think of yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely.
It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity.
Your attitudes and the choices you make today will be your life tomorrow, build it wisely.

Perseverance is The Ability
Perseverance is the ability to keep going in the face of continuous challenges. It is the ability to disregard distractions and to stay focused.
You may have to take detours to get to your end goal. But, as long as you persevere and realize that the detour is simply another alternative path in the direction of your goal, you will continue to move forward.
Those who see a detour as a reason to quit, lack perseverance. You will always face challenges as you work towards your goals. Your ability to persevere will determine your ultimate success!
It takes effort and belief to persevere and stay dedicated to accomplish your goal. When you find yourself doubting whether the effort is worth it, visualize how you will feel and what you will have once your goal is completed.
Persevere, and, don't let any self-doubt distract you.

Cries of Palestine
On holy land so much blood drips. Wasted AK and M6 clips. Tanks rumble. Planes fly overhead. Streets litter with bodies of the dead.
Palestine starts to cry out loud, “Oh Human! Why are you so proud? Can’t you even defend this sand? For everyone it’s Holy Land”.
The planes, gunshots and all the screams, Keep visiting me in my dreams. I feel the pain inside my soul, Like stuck inside a big black hole.
Once, this land was so clean and pure. Down there you could find every cure, But now its being stretched and torn. Houses bombed while a child is born.
The TV screen displays pictures, But then moves on to game fixtures. The sympathy just doesn’t last, Cuz life moves on very fast.
I hear the cries of Palestine; I see its tears mix in with mine. I pray to see some better days,
Away from all the blood filled ways.

A sister's love is special in oh so many ways Now miles stretch between us and minutes turn to days.
We've shared so much as children the tears, the joys, the pain A lifetime spent together those memories remain.
In times gone by we've pondered the paths our lives have taken Knowing that in spite of this our sisters love unshaken.
A sister's love is special in ways that are unspoken Still that binding force exists our sister love unbroken.

Friendship's Flower
Life is like a garden And friendship like a flower, That blooms and grows in beauty With the sunshine and the shower.
And lovely are the blossoms That are tended with great care, By those who work unselfishly To make the place more fair.
And, like the garden blossoms, Friendship's flower grows more sweet When watched and tended carefully By those we know and meet.
And, if the seed of friendship Is planted deep and true And watched with understanding, Friendship's flower will bloom for you.
